Do you like to play dress up? What is your favorite part of playing dress up?
The author, Nirit Littaney, has written a very special book that every young child will enjoy. Nancy is five, and she enjoys dressing up, even wearing wigs and applying makeup. And sometimes she wears heels. Nancy has a sister, Grace, who is much older and is a model. Grace wears beautiful clothes, make up and high heels. Nancy wants so much to be just like her, that Nancy wears her dress up clothes, make up and high heels to school. Grace and Nancy’s mother tell Nancy that she is too young to wear dress up clothes and makeup to school. She needs to be her age and have fun. Indeed it is impossible to play in the sandbox with her heels and to slide down the slide in her dress up clothes. But Nancy likes to be fancy. One day the teacher announces that next week they will have dress up day. All the children will bring in dress up clothes, and then boys will wear suits and ties. When you read this book, you will discover what happens.
Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children will like to be able to discuss dress up clothes, make up and high heels. Most of the children will have very definite ideas about wearing dress up clothes to school. The illustrations by Fanny Liem, are bright, colorful and vivid. They depict the adventures of Nancy, her family, and her school friends. This is a very pertinent book for children and their parents, considering the push for children to wear grown up clothes. A good story for children and their parents. Note: a complimentary copy of this book was provided to read and review.

Israeli author Nirit Littaney is a nutritionist, medical coach, and spiritual leader. After being confined to her bed for years by an incurable illness, Nirit experienced the same triumph of spirit that many of her characters undergo in their journeys through lands near and far. She has successfully joined the ranks of children’s books writers – but her stories, while humorous, encourage children to stretch their imagination while learning some valuable lessons. She has wisely elected to have the very talented Fanny Liem provide the illustrations for this new book on Kindle.
Nancy is a cute 5 year old girl who loves to dres up in fancy clothes. Her sister Grace is a professional model and Nancy yearns to become a model, too. She wears fancy dresses, high heels, and big hats even to school, though her mother (and Grace) both try to convince her that she should dress appropriately for her age. The climax of the story comes when the teacher at school announces there will be a Formal Day at school. Nancy is perturbed – her thunder has been stolen – and seeing her classmates all dressed up in fancy clothes makes her realize that she would be a happier girl if she dressed her age!
As always with Nirit’s books the story is well paced, told with fun, insets some solid lessons, and is illustrated with very fine art by Fanny. Another winner for Nirit Littaney! Grady Harp, October 15

This is a fun and educational tale by Nirit Littaney, who has written more than half a dozen enjoyable children’s books, that has enchanting drawings by Fanny Liem. It addresses a problem that many parents have with their children: their strong desire to dress up like adults. This is, of course, inappropriate, but children do not understand this.
This book will help while it entertains. It tells the tale of a five-year old girl who likes to dress up, and even wear a wig and high heel shoes. Her older sister is a model and she wants to be like her. Her mom and her sister try to explain why she should act and dress like a five-year old, but she refuses to listen and insists on wearing a fine dress and high heels at school. But then she sees problems at games and other school activities.
