(Hunting the Dark Lord Book 5)
Chad Lalanne is a powerful and loving dom to the submissive Katie, devoted to discovering new ways to bring her to the heights of pleasure. Together, they thought they had formed an unbreakable bond, until the day Katie was attacked by a vicious vampire and Chad was powerless to stop it.
Now Chad knows he needs more than just sexual dominance to keep Katie safe. He’ll need another, stronger vampire. Someone who can nourish and protect her. That’s when the two meet Philippe d’Argent, a damaged and grieving vampire whose powerful sexual appetites are slowly stirring back to life after a long period of mourning.
As they explore the growing erotic possibilities of a dom human with two submissive vampires, each new passionate encounter forges an intensely sensual and loving connection between them. Soon they all must decide if the dominant Chad can surrender to his two submissives and be turned to a creature of the night, in the ultimate sacrifice to form a loving relationship that will heal them all for all eternity.
This is a fully revised edition of the story “Eternal Triangle,” first told in Forbidden Fantasies.
About the author
.First published in 1996, Ann has sold over 100 romance novels, novellas and short stories to publishers including Berkley, Kensington, Loose Id, Changeling and more. Recently she has begun a new venture, self-publishing. Her first nonfiction book, SELF-EDITING FOR WRITERS,was released early last year, along with original and heavily revised romance novels and boxed sets.
Romance is Ann’s first love, and 2015 marked the year she returned to her roots: sensual, heartwarming love stories about hot, Alpha heroes and the strong women who inspire their love. Her books are divided between these and frankly erotic romances, which for the most part feature one man and one woman–but with fantasy story worlds and/or BDSM elements that take them out of the realm of mainstream romance.

I got this book from net gallery for an honest review.
This was an interesting book with an unusual yet unique narrative. The story centres around Dom Chad, whose long time slave, Katie was bitten and turned into a vampire by a vampire Dom. Chad loves Katie but he knows he can’t fully protect her as he doesn’t possess the strength of a vampire and he carries the blame of not being there to protect her when she was attacked. When Katie confides in him about meeting Phillipe, a submissive vampire, Chad finds himself in a conflicted situation. For Katie’s protection he seeks out Phillippe – but Phillippe, brings out Chad’s hidden desires. Chad is an interesting Dom, he wants Phillippe but fights against his desires. Although, the book was short I did enjoy it and i liked the fact it covered Phillippe’s, Katie’s and Chad’s perspective.

Possessing the Night by Ann Jacobs is book five in the ‘Hunting the Dark Lord’ series. This is about 7o page Novella.
I haven’t read the other books yet so I am thinking that I should have before reading this one. I still enjoyed the story but I kept thinking was the previous book were we learned how Katie got turned to a Vampire.
Overall I enjoyed the book and was glad to have the chance to read and review it!
