“Unable to look away, my jaw dropped in captivated wonder, my sexy chef.”

Junior editor Malibu O’Hare has come face-to-face with the man of her dreams – literally, in a restaurant aptly called Scandal.

Always cautious when it comes to matters of the heart, she’s totally fascinated with Creole Chef Mark Bouchard, and can’t fight her amorous feelings with this love at first sight scenario.

Mark is also equally smitten, but his past experiences keep his feelings in check. When he finally summons the nerve to introduce himself, things really heat up between them. Like two magnets, their mutual attraction is all consuming, until a mischief-maker tries to ruin both Malibu’s fledgling career and her relationship with Mark.

Snap onto your seatbelts, folks, as Susan Jean Ricci shares a wild ride in her new novella, the first in her My Sexy Chef series. Add a pinch of sass via her Aunt Cindy DeMatteo from Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems, and you’ve got a super cool ride into this well reviewed, blush romance.

“A Dreamy Romance Story”

Priscilla’s client had to bow out of dinner at the Scandal bistro. So she and her assistant, Malibu O’Hare, enjoy dining together. They are seated rather close to where the chefs can be watched as they prepare delightful dinners. Malibu eyes lock on the chef and she becomes speechless as she watches Creole Chef Mark Bouchard. He is tall, dark, handsome, muscular, with pitch black eyes. Malibu simply cannot take her eyes away from him. She herself is a striking redhead, small in stature but has a sensual body, and sparkling green eyes. Her jade colored skirt and sweater attract stares from Mark, who can’t really believe he’s being emotionally drawn to Malibu. Her boss, Priscilla, has a powerful influence in the publishing business and Malibu is seeking a better education than she might get at a smaller publishing house. Before their dinners are delivered, Priscilla breaks the good news … Malibu is being promoted to junior editor and several authors have been selected for her to work with. Before the night is over, as Malibu sits outside her apartment enjoying the fall night air, Mark strolls up to her. He is very witty and states he was not stalking her, and they enter into a brief, friendly dialog. Mark is very witty and playful with her in his introduction. Malibu cannot help but be extremely attracted to him, but she has to use some common sense and heads for her apartment. She stops, turns to Mark and asks, “Don’t you want my phone number?” Mark is sly, answering, “Don’t know yet!” Needless to say, this is a hot, delicious romance story, with also has some mischief involving one egotist author who may impact Malibu’s new job. A fast, light read, well written. I enjoyed it.

Malibu works for Priscilla as a junior editor. When a client backs out of dinner meeting, Priscilla asks Malibu to join her. They decide to go to the new ‘it’ spot, Scandals. It wasn’t an easy place to get seated. While looking at the menu, Malibu glances up. There in the kitchen was a hot looking guy. She couldn’t stop staring at the man.
Mark is the chef at Scandals. He loves to cook and he’s very good at what he does. When he looks up to check out the dining room, his eyes land on this beautiful redhead. She’s distracting, but Mark is enjoying it. He has to find out who she is and where she lives.

Intense heat after a chance meeting, Mark and Malibu could feel the electricity between them. The writing is solid and the characters lovable. The pacing is terrific. It moves right along and before you know it, you’ve finished the book. I really enjoyed reading how these two were like magnets from the first glance. I laughed and fell in love right along with Malibu. This author can create a sweet, sensual story without being graphic. I loved that! I have been recommending this book to everyone. Ms. Ricci is a very down to earth writer. Her characters just leap off the page. Get this one.

I didn’t find issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because I could picture a couple of my friends in Malibu’s shoes. ~Copy of book provided by author in exchange for a fair review~

With a huge smiling face, I can report that Susan Jean Ricci’s MY SEXY CHEF is one of those rare books that deserve more than Five Stars. I wish there were at least two more to select for this amazing book.
Author Susan Ricci, masterfully takes the reader on a titillating culinary journey where appetites are teased and nourished in every possible way while throwing in a few twists and turns along the way. The plot and desire thicken, marinating, as each page is turned.
Her characters have depth. The author’s use of dialog is incredibly smooth and most importantly, believable. The story is quick-paced, and it ebbs and flows, effortlessly.
In addition to this, the book is well-edited which is a huge plus.
The reader will be more than satisfied when this feast comes to a climax. I was. You’ll desire more.
MY SEXY CHEF is a romance, as it should be written…at it’s finest!
For all the male readers out there, if you wish to know how women think and what they truly desire in a real man, MY SEXY CHEF is your guidebook. Ladies, this one’s definitely for you, as well.

Pipsqueak indeed! Susan Jean Ricci cooks up a tantalizing, saucy treat in her latest My Sexy Chef series. More than just mouthwatering, ‘party-in-your-mouth’ food is exiting the kitchen of Chef Mark Bouchard’s high-end Manhattan restaurant. His flawless masculine physique and Creole boy-ish charm add just the right amount of southern seasoning to up the stakes (no pun intended) to a pint-sized Malibu needing a dash of zest to spice up her (sex) life. And boy does Ricci whip up some sizzle. Add a pinch of my old friends Cindy and Jay for a bit of ala minute seasoning and you have the recipe for a fun afternoon of reading. I look forward to Chef Bouchard’s and Malibu’s next calorie-free indulgence. After a cold shower, of course!
