This is the third Maya Papaya book. Maya finds a new friend in her garden, a cat!!! her most loved animal!!! and she is very exited about it. In this story, Maya is watching her new friend and soon realizes why her new friend does some pretty strange things. What strange things that her new friend is doing? and why??? and what lesson can be learned by that???

Maya Papaya is playing in her beautiful garden and encounter something new – she places her flowers on the ground for a better look and sees…a cat in her garden – her favorite animal. Maya names her Mrs. Cat and shows her mother who approves but states the cat cannot live in the house because of the messes. Maya makes Mrs. Cat a house in the garden and the cat is content. But Mrs. Cat grows fat and disappears one day. Maya searches for her and finds her in a corner of the garden with three little kittens. Maya is so happy that when a dog barks and frightens the kittens, Maya moves Mrs. Cat and her kittens to her house. All is well until a gardener comes and frightens Mrs. Cat with his noisy lawnmower and Mrs. Cat runs to the roof and Maya pleads with her to come down.
