Josh Ryan is back from Hong Kong and Brie Silver has her hands full fighting off the match-making attempts of the two closest but most frustrating women in her life, her grandmother, Jessie and her best friend, Kate in love’s return.
Josh is closing in on her, with help from the matchmaking committee of two. He has something he wants to discuss and Brie is resisting. But she doesn’t care about Josh – he had her in the palm of his hand three years ago until ambition got in the way – but now he is back and wants to talk and it doesn’t look like he’s going to take no for an answer. Brie, on the other hand, doesn’t know what they have to talk about after so long and is trying her best to avoid him.
It doesn’t help that Josh is her grandmother’s new lawyer and is working on some secretive mission for the old lady that seems to have something to do with Brie but that no one is telling her about.
Enter Tiffany Dysart – rich, drop-dead gorgeous, and set on making Josh Ryan hers. Brie doesn’t stand a chance – and then she meets handsome, charming, debonair, Tom Maloney – could love be in the air after all with someone new? Then why, all of a sudden, is everyone interested in a snapshot of Tom that appears on a roll of film Brie has asked Kate to collect for her? Is he really a highly dangerous criminal? And is his name really Maloney?
And what is Jessie’s secretive project? And will Josh ever get the chance to have the talk with Brie he has been trying to have since he arrived back in Auckland? And what about Tiffany? What has she got to do with Tom Maloney?
Most of all, what has Paris got to do with anything?

Have you ever unexpectedly run into an old flame only to realize you have never gotten over them? One feels like they are reliving the pain of Josh Ryan leaving three years earlier. Brie Silver still has feelings for him. On top of this, Brie’s 90 + grandmother has hired Josh Ryan as her new lawyer. They are scheming together and Brie has no clue what they are up to. I could not put this book down as it is captivating!
