Review

P.S.Winn captivates her readers from her very first word. It is impossible to put this book down – it pulls you into the lives of a group of fascinating, altruistic people living in a world threatened to be destroyed by the various elements of society and the natural dangers of the world we live in.

Winn wants us to believe in the goodness of those people who could ultimately save the world faced with natural disasters, dangerous government ideology, sociopathic and egomaniacal characters motivated by an obsession for control.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stories well told January 22, 2014

Have read several of P.S. Winn’s books and they are all marvellous. I think she is a seasoned story teller. As far as this one is concerned, you will like the novel Foretold if you like reading about history, reading about aspects of what American history and belief in God!! The novel gives you insights into America’s past which I found very fascinating. The stories are set in various cities of America that covers most of the country. The novel is big so the best way to read would be one at a time. Don’t rush it, take time to absorb.

Foretold by P.S. Winn is a fast-paced speculative fiction novel centered on the tribulations of Nick and Carol Cavelli, whose future is threatened along with everyone else’s by a series of cataclysmic events that may be foretelling the beginning of the end for mankind. General Hank Bakowsky is just one of a number of military leaders drawn into a climatic confrontation at The Ranch in Idaho, which appears as an allegory for the Valley of Megiddo itself. The subplot involving the General’s confidant, Mike Strong, and his heartthrob Desiree Parker gives the novel a romantic element of drama as the protagonists are catapulted into a final showdown. This is another worthy addition to P.S. Winn’s growing anthology of entertaining novels.

This story is a warning to us, forcing us to think about what precautions we can take. Will the characters we come to care about endure? Will the world be saved? Can we survive on our own? Do we need help from an omnipotent source? Do we believe?

I highly recommend this book. The characters will stay with you forever.
