I’m not normally into romance novels, mostly because I like to still feel clean after reading something. A Clue for Adrianna really is escapism at its best, revealing images of gorgeous landscapes and childhood memories that we all wish we could have. This is an excellent novel, well written, heart warming and gratifying, without feeling grimy at the end of it. Good job Charlotte Kent!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I am not normally a romance reader, If I order a romance novel it usually has to have some mystery or paranormal aspects. While this has neither, I have enjoyed the fact that this was a feel good book with romantic overtures but no graphic sex scenes. This book is more in nature of the Thomas Kinkade and Debbie Macomber books. If you have read and enjoyed either of these authors I would recommend this book as well as the next 2 in the series.

This charming book has elements of classic romance and mystery with a distinct modern twist. The characters are well drawn, their motives not always apparent, and the heroine is likeable and sympathetic. I really enjoyed reading this book and getting to know the people and the place, and it am looking forward to the next in the series. I finished this with a smile on my face feeling content. A good place to be.

So, what happens when a gal riding the tides of a career upswing with a devoted fiance, suddenly finds it all collapse around her ankles?A Clue For Adrianna is one of those wholesome, superbly written stories that are rare indeed and made for readers who just can’t get enough of a romance with a shut-the-shades and can’t-wait-to-see what happens next kind of twisty.

The heroine, Adrianna, receives two life changing missives in one day. The letters are unrelated and haven’t arrived together on purpose, but, then again, life doesn’t change the name on your mailbox on purpose either, does it?

I guess you can refer to this as destiny. And I do believe in destiny, don’t you?

Adrianna must fullfill her destiny as an heiress, get over her sour love affair, and prove herself worthy to walk in her late great aunt’s footsteps. Can she do this, or more importantly, is she up to the challenge? And what if the attorney in charge of her great aunt’s estate deems her to be insufficient in her role as executrix?

What intrigued me about Charlotte Kent’s story is that I love scavenger hunts and A Clue For Adrianna sets the tone for one huge hunt, as Adrianna tries to discover the meaning of a phrase left to her by her great aunt. What grabbed me further was the developing passion between Chase, the attorney in charge of seeing the heroine’s great aunt’s wishes fullfilled, and Adrianna, the lady thrown into a very mixed up puzzle. The attraction between the two is quite subtle, yet so very sweet.

While Chase manages to maintain his professionalism for the sake of his attorney practice, will he also continue to fight his growing affection for the lovely heiress, Adrianna?
